From the Track to Glory: Kevin Schwantz, Racing's Timeless Icon

American-born Kevin Schwantz was a competitive motorcycle road racer before his retirement in 1964. In the 1993 FIM Road Racing World Championship, he won the world championship.

At the age of four, Schwantz, whose parents had a motorbike store, began riding. Following in the footsteps of his father and uncle, Darryl Hurst (the original 34), he started his competitive career as a trials rider. From trials, he advanced to motocross in his teens and rose to the top of the local MX ranks. He decided to give up motocross after a catastrophic collision during the 1983 Houston Supercross qualification round.

He was allowed to test ride for the Yoshimura Suzuki Superbike team at the end of the 1984 season, and the team quickly signed the Texan to a contract. He won both legs of the 1985 Willow Springs AMA Superbike National, his maiden race with Yoshimura. Despite only participating in half of the events, he placed eighth overall in the championship.

I am so happy with this touring motorcycle leather jacket. I ordered it online from leather collection and it arrived in 5 days. The advice from other customers to order a size larger was perfect advice. It fits perfectly. What great service, quality, and prices. I will definately order from you more in the future.

All in all, a really good motorbike leather jacket. Warm enough on a 40 degree day on a bike with no fairing or windshield, though the vents do let wind through even when closed. But that's what zippers do (I put electrical tape on the zippers and the leather hides that perfectly). The cuffs don't close down any significant amount, so gauntlets are a must on an otherwise fine day just to keep the wind from shooting up the sleeve and chilling me. Those are my only complaints; weighed with the extremely low cost of this jacket and the fact that it looks good, it's absolutely a good buy. One important note: the size does NOT run big; order your actual size. Look at their sizing chart.

This is truly a great motorbike leather jacket. I bought the XXL and usually wear a 18-20. I have plenty of room to add a sweater in the colder winter. However, it comes with a zip out lining that is very warm. This leather jacket is very figure friendly. It actually gives me a defined waistline Something I never had naturally. The first time I wore it several people commented that I lost weight.

The costumer service is deficient. I ordered a jacket probably two weeks ago, and I requested a tracking number and no one has responded my requests. I am really close to disputing the charge if I do not receive the merchandise soon. I would not recommend this site to a friend. If you can find it somewhere else, go somewhere else. I have not seen the quality of the merchandise, but if it is similar to the costumer service I am beginning to worry.

I ordered this jacket on 5-15 and it arrived on 5-18. I got a medium (I'm 5'7 and about 155) and it fits perfectly. I love this jacket so much. The cut it really nice and very feminine. The vents are extremely convenient, I was able to open them all while riding on the back of my husband's bike with no problems. Well worth the money.
